What goes into the quote
Subtotal is the sum of (qty x unit price) across line items. Discount applies to subtotal first. Tax applies to the discounted amount. Total is discounted + tax. Deposit is total times deposit percentage. Balance due is total - deposit.

What to do if your number looks off
- Total seems high. Check if tax is compounding. Tax applies only to discounted subtotal.
- Deposit too low. Under 25% exposes you to cancellation risk. Raise to 35%+.
- Line items missing. The calculator filters out empty or zero-quantity lines.
- Discount not applying. Enter as percentage (e.g. 10 for 10%), not decimal (0.10).
